The lounge and office chairs use black aniline leather – supple, matte rather than shiny, and it ages well. The dining, armchair and rocking shells are a matte black polypropylene that hides scuffs better than white. The LCW is black-lacquered moulded plywood. If you are matching an existing black leather sofa, the lounge chair in black walnut is the safest choice; for a dark, dramatic room choose black rosewood or palisander.
